"Hi everyone, I’m an eco-designer working on a project to upcycle coconut husks and shells (which are usually just burned as waste) into everyday items. I'm currently prototyping a water bottle, food boxes, and plates that are 100% compostable and naturally anti-microbial. Before I move into production, I really need the perspective of people who actually care about the planet. I have three specific questions for you: The Bottle: If you saw a water bottle made from pressed coconut husk, what would be your biggest worry? (e.g., Is it easy to clean? Does it smell like coconut forever? Is it durable?) The Plates: For eco-friendly disposables, is 'aesthetic/fancy' more important to you, or 'backyard compostable'? The Shells: For home decor or bowls, do you prefer the 'raw/natural' texture or a polished finish? I’m just trying to make sure I’m building something people actually want. Would love to hear your thoughts or any 'dealbreakers' you see with using coconut fiber!"
